This weeks Lidl's weekend offer for Vintage Cheddar 50% down is a very good price for the quality...( 250 gr = 1.49 Euro )

Had some of this last night. It was very tasty, although I must say it is really crumbly and did not grate well. Think it's more of a cheese for cutting into pieces and having with crackers. Lovely flavour though and what a fab price!

So you bought this cheese too early to get the 50% but also the normal price is very good for this quality. Every time this cheddar is available at Lidl I buy it as I love cheese. For grating Lidl's "Grana" ( also this week ) is not bad quality, however I prefer the Parmigiano Reggiano more and as soon as it comes on special offer I always buy a stock of 5.

Ha,Ha, I am always early bird there on a Saturday and took 7 in case somebody else wants some from me...

There were still loads in Lidl Mesogi this lunchtime. And is it my imagination or have those Bavarian sausages of yours been slightly re-branded. I swear there was more blue in the packaging than there used to be.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=532&hilit=nuremberg+sausages there was no Greek text on the package in the past. As most of the products Lidl Cyprus is selling, comes via Greece, some clever designer thought it is better to change that for the Greek market. (Loukanika wrasta) in order to sell more...
The producer: HOWE Nuremberg is still the same, selling 4 mio sausages/day. By the way the owner is also President of FC Bayern Munich....
I met recently by chance sales directors from Germany, checking all Lidl's in Cyprus and told them if they want to sell more they have to add English texts to their products. Normally you find were rare English on the packaging but of course next to Greek, many other languages except English...
