Perhaps a plant from the Labiatae family, similar to Dead Nettle?
Lovely colour!

Is it a lupin? Just one flower from the spire?

To me, it definately resembles the 'Snapdragon' (Antirrhinum) species, but perhaps a wild version?

YES Kay, it is wild sage. I am using it for cooking p.e. Saltimbocca alla Romana, or for tea with honey which is a Cypriot remedy for colds...
Only the wild form has this nice flower like an orchid...
