Thank you Dominic - dont know whether I fall into the "wonderful Mum" category or not but I had a very good day and my wonderful daughter sent me a great message so I guess I did/do something right.

My Mum would have been 97 this year.... unfortunately passed shortly after her 90th but still the oldest known of her roots....
She was in Cyprus twice with me and loved the place.
A munitions worker during the war, leaving home at 5am and getting back at 8pm, 6 days a week, working as a turner on heavy artillery. My Dad was away for 7 years never home, was at Dunkirk but couldn't leave as in the Medical Corp, but ended up in India the rest of the war. They were married in 1947.
A time to really appreciate mothers for the sacrifices they always made. Bless them
