WHAT !!!!! The government with taxpayers money are subsiding the extensions of hotels. This to me is scandalous :-(

But this Win Win is at a cost to the taxpayer. Will they / we get a share of the profits ?

Surely the money could be spent on things more important to the citizens such as improving investment in the health service which is the lowest per capita in the EU.
I am not saying that investment in tourism is a bad thing but there are priorities.

I think this money is in the way of loans.

The problem wth encouraging more AI hotel occupancy is that in general local businesses don’t benefit, I’m thinking of bars and tavernas and possibly also kiosks.
