According to facebook Mollie has been found safe and well thank goodness. She has a few wounds from the attack and will be taken to a Vet but it sounds as though nothing too serious!

Yes, that is wonderful news always had Borders in the UK, love them, but please make her kennel secure as possible, you see so many strays now in Pafos with bits of rope around their necks.

How would a secure kennel prevent the dog from being attacked while out on a walk?

Yes it is always nice when a "missing" thread has a happy ending. Too often they end in sadness.

Hope that the other (attacking) dog is better controlled in the future!

It would seem from reading the initial post that she had a collar and a lead on.. Maybe it is the attacking dog that should have been under more control..

Dom, OK but I see so many strays with rope or even string around their necks. In ten years our dog Coco has never got out or been attacked while on her lead or loose, carry something heavy, a stick maybe to defend her, just a thought. Molly was loose I believe? off her lead. As a warning and why I do not go the Pafos forest area, snakes, it is known for those.

Very happy she is back home and well.

"Molly was loose I believe? off her lead."

Read the post properly, she slipped her collar when she was attacked. Nothing whatsoever to indicate she was either loose or off her lead, there are plenty of other responsible dog owners around believe it or not.

Unfortunately Jacs there are some who are not responsible dog owners here in Cy, I have seen this in my dog ownership, one of my Border Collies in the UK was badly injured by an Alsatian dog who was being walked by young children and supposedly in their care and control, we had to pay a huge Vet bill to save the dog, who thankfully went on to have a great life.
It happens here too, and I am also a very responsible rescue dog owner as you well know and no need for your usual sarcasm I can read, I posted the warning about Pafos Forest years ago, it has many snakes and not an area I would walk in personally.

If that collar was fitted correctly it should be almost impossible to slip!

Strays are a problem especially during the hunting season, also look out for poison bating, another serious problem here on Cy,

Strays can be a real problem as are feral cats, only a couple of weeks ago I witnessed two off lead dog deaths on our road being hit by speeding cars past our house. also, I feed at least five cat's each day, two are cats who have been disowned by local ex-pats, who maybe you will know?.
