Another shooting in the USA

My heart goes out to all those affected by this terrible event in Florida.
Surly at some point, gun control in the states will be at least tightened up. If not there will be no end to the mass killings ongoing. I know they will not stop all of these killings in the states or anywhere else but its about time at least some effort is put into stopping this.
I know about the vast amounts of money involved in guns in the states & the politics behind it but it has got well out of hand & is sickening.
It always seems to be the innocent that bear the brunt of ignorance.

To be perfectly honest.... I've stopped giving a toss about it anymore. If they're too pig headed and stupid to realise this is all of their own making, there's really no hope for them!
We can shout, cry and gnash our teeth over it as much as we like but we all know that soon enough, yet another mass shooting will happen because the Americans don't have the sense to fix it!

Every time a mass shooting occurs in the US gun ownership increases. And look at how easily the police force shoot people over there, especially if they are black.

Madness.

Here we go. You'll be saying it is all Trump and the NRA's fault next.

It is the fault of the American people / government who will not change the out dated law that everybody has a right to bare arms.
All laws have a sell by date or at least a review date & that law is well past its sell by date.

Trump will do NOTHING to control gun law, in fact, he will make it easier. He was funded by gun lobbies and his biggest backers are extreme right wing groups who back these laws.

America has more deaths associated with gun shootings by toddlers, than terrorism.....

The problem is also the people who believe that guns are a valid answer. Cyprus has lots of guns, Switzerland has lots of guns. Neither have this kind of madness.

Trump truly believes that armed citizens in every places, can defuse incidents. He wants teachers to carry handguns. He wants handguns allowed in Malls, Cinemas and the likes. He is as mad as the gun lobby people.

Nothing will change. The psyche of these people is seriously corrupt. You could argue that a ‘young‘ nation like the USA is too immature for lax measures, a bit like Israel is too immature to solve the Palestine problem by dialogue.

An intersting statistic. There have been 18 school shooting incidents in the USA in 2018 - an average of 3 per week!

The Palestinians do not want dialog with Israel, like Iran they just want to eliminate it. Meantime they take pot shots at our people (including at innocent children) almost daily. You cannot negotiate with people like that.
Trump was elected on the basis of leaving the US gun laws as they are. I notice Obama didn't change the gun laws when he was President although he said he was going to, and he had a majority in the House. At least Trump does what he says.
Amos.

Perhaps Israel ought to try negotiating with the Palestinians for a change, rather than killing them (including women and children), bulldozing their houses, and building settlements on their land.
But of course we all know they won't.

The Americans are always spouting nonsense along the lines of "guns don't kill people, people do". As has already been said above, that doesn't seem to work in Cyprus and Switzerland where nearly all men have a military service rifle at home, and don't have the massacres.
When the American constitution was written, bearing arms meant carrying a flintlock or something along those lines, not high powered military grade automatic weapons.
My heart used to go out to the Americans when these things happened. Now I just can't be bothered. Frankly, it serves them right for being stupid.

Amos or whoever you are.....
You fail to answer proper questions on Israel, when asked, so I wonder why you keep spouting rubbish....

As to Obama, he passed a law preventing anyone with mental health issues, from owning a gun, one the first things Trump did, under instruction from the NRA, was to repeal the law.

All the GOP wants to do, is give “Thoughts and Prayers” - they wont speak about an incident while its close to the event, “for fear of politicising it” - then sweep it under the carpet, along with Sandy Hook and countless others.

Trump should build walls, all across red-neck areas, bible-belt and states lik Texas. Leave them to it. Let them all kill each other.

If this school shooter had been Muslim, Trump would already be proposing solutions.

Amos, you go cosy up to him, you deserve each other. Trump, guilty of anti-semtism but forgiven by Israel for his support....

Americans make up 4% of the worlds population and yet 48% of privately owned guns are owned by Americans.

In 2018, 6572 gun incidents, 1826 killed, 3142 injured, 69 under 11’s killed or injured.

Shocking stats. The country is heading for Armageddon. How come, with such levels of violence, the Foreign Office isn’t advising us not to travel there.... its a hell of a lot more dangerous than some countries we are being told not to visit....

Regards Israel the fact is the Palestinians do not want it to exist - end of.
This is why they refuse to negotiate, after FIRST observing a cease-fire against innocent people as well as against our security forces.
Which has nothing to do with the USA.
The USA constitution allows citizens to bear arms - end of.
If the US voters wanted to change it, why did they vote Trump in as President? Answer me that please.
Thank you,
Amos.

An article today on the BBC News website throws up some interesting (and depressing) statistics on America's gun culture!

Palestinians would agree to an Israel that didnt include the West Bank or Gaza, plus the removal of the settlements in the West Bank.

Israel wants all Palestinian lands.

Americans deserve Trump, mass shootings and all The instantly that goes with it.

Thank you

And now in his 'lip service' speech to the US nation he finishes off by inferring that it was a 'mental' issue. If it was a mental issue he has facilitated the event by his actions.

He only has 2 definitions to rely on when it comes to excuses for mass murder...
They are either racist or mentally sick.
As long as he has one card to play off against the other, Trump is a happy chappie.
