On this day 1958

My Mum was working in central Manchester at the time and clearly recalls the sense of shock around the city centre when the news came through. Such a shame so many talented players, and others, lost their lives in an avoidable incident. I’m not old to enough to have seen them but those I know who saw that team play tell me that Duncan Edwards would have been superstar in any era.
