Where are these Birds of Paradise coming into bloom?

Very strange, mine were in full blossom mid October and look ugly now.

Maybe it is a different variety blossoming now, 3 month later, or it is higher up in colder areas, but then they don't like it too cold...
I know from large farming on the airport road in the past, but then there are no hills around...

I thought you would get this easily Max.
Where I was standing must have been about 10m above sea level, which wasn't very far away.

Our Birds of Paradise are flowering now. Just planted last year- eight flowers coming up. We live at 600 meters from sea level. Beautiful sight xxx

You're very welcome, Dominic. Your photography skills are far superior to mine anyway, so I'm glad I didn't have my camera with me when I spotted this field of blooms.
