I like a good storm, last night's wasn't as spectacular as some we have had, but it was welcome. Feels a bit fresh out there this morning.

I woke up several times last night and heard the rain pouring down the roof but when I took the measurement in the morning, I was most disappointed with the 4 mm of rain we had all night. We need much more and it is already mid January... and now 10 am it is sunny again. Next week we should get some more wet days though...

It wasn't really a coptic storm either, as there was no wind whatsoever, or did anybody have an actual gale?

According to the coptic calendar, Jan 11th is supposed to be a very strong gale. We had mainly thunder and lightning, a bit of rain, but no wind at all.

So unless anybody can provide an account of it blowing a gale anywhere, it will be another NO to our Coptic storm accuracy chart.

Only 2.2 mm here, yesterday. There MAY be a little sporadic rain this week, up to Thursday when it might bucket.
