I appreciate post reTV have been moved to the Technology heading but I cannot find what I am looking for can anyone please assist me re my query. I have a Mag Box (I pay a subscription ) which until about 5pm today was working fine then when I switched my TV back on for the 6pm BBC news I got nothing except a warning "connection problem" too late to contact Computer SOS and despite disconnecting the box and rebooting etc I still get the same only no warning sign this time. I get "connecting" and then a black screen with the time showing in all four corners in turn. Have the Mag boxes been disconnected following the raids? Just as I was about to settle down to BBC News and ITV "Emmerdale" etc.

Hi Rita it appears that most people have the same problem I'm afraid so unfortunately there is nothing that you can do at the moment it seems.

Methinks the providers have gone into maintenance mode, switching their servers off, ducking their heads down below the parapets for a few days, until their periscopes tell them the coast is clear again..

Thats exactly what has happened, but this will be an on going problem, best bet is not to subscribe to any one selling you TV here in Cyprus, the Police know who they are, and they will be targeting them...best option is to buy one from an overseas provider.

They already do...mate of mine bought a years subscription for sports, only to find all the football commentary is in Turkish...

Ultimatemania best Sports/UK/USA tv channels around ..about 75pound a year, only drawback you now need to pay with bitcoin...ive had this sub for a few years now and its great,,,,,

Thank you so much for all the information. At least one consolation of sorts I am not alone having trouble. My friend went into Computer SOS and Brian asked we be patient they are trying their best so I will not add to his problems at this juncture. I pay for all UK stations, plus films and sport with my Mag Box and as I say it was ok up until 4pm yesterday when I switched it off then it failed when I tried later. Confined to the house presently just as well I have some books and talking books. Thank you all again.

Lloyd, with NTV you can pay monthly, which I would think is the most sensible thing to do. It says on their website that they are having problems with mastercard payments and recommend you pay with visa. Last time I subscribed I had problems getting a card accepted.

In the UK we have BT Sport and BT tv. I am going to watch my sport with a vpn in Cyprus from now on and rely on our Clearstream box for BBC/ITV etc. Hopefully our Clearstream box will still work.

Thank you for the information I have tried my TV this morning but no joy the message reads "no signal" I have tried rebooting but nothing and as I am not very well at this present time I cannot do anything more - sods law I suppose but thank you again
