The forecast from BFBS yesterday was that we get some white Christmas at Mount Olympos, so I thought let's have a look...but the whole Troodos massive was hiding...
But what a surprise just half an hour later
Pentalia village and Mount Olympos covered in a bit a snow
Is our Paphos countryside not lovely? On the left Pentalia again, on the right hand side Amargeti village
Mount Olympos peak in snow today, but it won't last. 3 days sunshine forecast...

The last pic was with a 100x dig. zoom, as Mount Olympos is 45 km away from my house...

Have you equipped yourself with a decent telescopic pan/tilt tripod for your camera, yet, Max?

Thank you for the photos Max, it was lovely to see 'a bit of snow' on Christmas morning.

I am quite happy Alan when the result is like the above pics without "decent" tripod. There are some settings on the camera to avoid installing a tripod when on longer zoom or low light situations..

Ahhh, that must be some sort of digital 'anti-shake' setting, like Dom has on his camera. Very smart indeed! The results are apparent in your last 100x zoom shot, with pin sharp focus. Brilliant picture from 45km away! Try one of the next Full Moon rising over the wind farm just after sunset on 2nd January 2018?
BTW- did you visit Timi Beach for your regular Saturday fish lunch this week? AL

There is one setting on this camera which includes automatically 'anti-shake' when you go for longer zoom ....
I have doubts that the Full Moon rises over the Orites wind farm - but let's see.
Lucky I was, not to skip my Saturday fish lunch as it was the only decent food I had this Christmas days..
