Don't panic, it's not Houdinibun's stock gone missing. The shop that was burgled is in Agapinoros (aka Mr Chicken or Russian Road). So if anybody suspicious comes up to you in the pub and offers "Psst, wanna buy a cheap wedding dress, brand new", then get their details and shop them to the police! It's hard enough running a business without scumbags stealing your stock.

Yes, but if any had been set aside for a specific bride, I'm sure the insurance would not cover the bride's anguish ...

Yes, although one theft is arguably no worse than another things like this seem deeply immoral...

I remember the emotional roller-coaster of getting our daughter's dress (long story)...

Yes the big tragedy is if it is a dress that has been ordered for a specific bride. That will have been ordered months ago, and made to measure. There may not be time to re-order another one for the big day.

However, on the bright side, such a dress would not be on display on the shop floor. The last thing a bride wants to do is walk into a bridal shop and see somebody trying on the dress she is due to pick up!
