Hello Max.... I apologise if you have explained this before - what is your solar air heating?? I searched, and saw you have mentioned installing 2 of these in an earlier post. Would you have a link to something which could explain to me? Thank you.cyprusmax47 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 8:59 am My Solar Air-heating is already blowing 50C hot air into the house while outdoors it is still brrrrr 6 C...![]()
No CO2 emissions, no bad smell, no electricity costs... only the noise of the fans.

Several companies producing these Solar Air-heating panels. Market leader is the German company Grammer Solar. As one panel is ca 1500 Euro, which is quite expensive, I have built my own system. One unit with 6 panels in series, facing South and one with 4 panels facing South/West. The most important reason for me is not the rising temperature in the house but the fact that it reduces the humidity in a big way. After a couple of sun hours the humidity in the rooms goes down from ca 70%RH to ca 40% RH. The increase in temperature is ca 40C + outdoor temperature, blowing into the house. So when is outdoors 10C, I get ca 50-60 C hot dry air blowing. My system is controlled only with small solar panels (50Wp, 30 Wp, 20 Wp) which run fans only when the sun is sufficient enough and stop when a cloud comes. (so very simple) Here one link for you, you can click also on technical specifications. http://www.solaricetec.com/pages_grammer/twinsolar.htmBograt wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2017 6:52 pmHello Max.... Thank you Max, for supplying this information, I appreciate it. That does sound excellent. What fun that you built your own, as well.cyprusmax47 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2017 8:13 pmSeveral companies producing these Solar Air-heating panels. Market leader is the German company Grammer Solar. So much to look into when I am there for longer next year. I continue to learn all the time from the helpful members of this forum, and often pass things on to others who once, like me, needed to start somewhere.
Thank you again. What a beautiful house and garden, and I have to say I prefer the plants to a pool. If I owned my Cyprus house, I'm afraid the pool would be an ex.....
Just in the News in BFBS, saying that last night was the coldest so far with temperatures of -13c in England (forgot the town)... brrrrrAnarita John wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 4:34 pm Yes, it is quite cold here in the UK. 2c when I went out for a very slow bike ride this morning. Ice had not melted where there was no sun. First time this winter I have felt cold on my bike and just rode to the kiosk on the prom where I had a coffee,, then back home. Only 6 miles. However, it was very clear and could see Cumbria from the North Wales coast. Quite a bit of snow on the hills and mountains.
The town was Shawbury - about ten miles from me here!!cyprusmax47 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 8:07 am
