There is a holidays and travel section now added to the directory.

It occurs to me that it is missing a category for travel agents you can use in Cyprus for booking holidays elsewhere. So if people can tell me who they use, I can add them.

I have also updated the key words list, so rather than trail through the categories, just type "posh hotel" in the search box on the directory page, and it will take you straight there.

Let me know of any additions etc.

The "Anassa" at Latchi belongs certainly to the luxury category....(belonging to the Thanos Group of hotels)

For the other categories I think the Paradisos Hills in Lysos should be in the directory for the Polis area. (paradisoshills.com)

In Paphos the Aliathon Resort is very popular and a huge and nice place. Also good for weddings etc.

Please add transavia.com for flights to Amsterdam from Larnaca (in winter and summer) and from Paphos from March till end of October

Could you add G.S.Eracleous Travel ltd to the directory plz.

We have used them several times for flights etc UK, Bulgaria.

We also booked flights to Africa early 2017 and now again for 2018.

Their office/shop is almost next door to where M&S were in the old town
and next door to where Tea for two were.

Service is excellent.

I have family in Amsterdam, and have used them many times, great prices.

Have not used them, but Century Travel are agents for Thomson Cruises and other cruise companies. One member of CL got a very good deal on a Thomson cruise a few years back which matched the £200 we paid for a week by booking direct.

Century Travel are good for all travel arrangement incl. tickets only to all destinations (Thailand, Australia etc etc)

Do you just want recommendations for Pafos Hotels?

Anything you feel appropriate for the holiday section. If you have hotels in the east you can recommend by all means say. I could do a separate category for them. Or any flight info, or travel agents. I may not use all the info but there is no harm posting it.

We stayed at the Myroandrou Beach Apartments in Pernara. We booked it through a website called otel.com and got a real bargain. In fact it was so cheap we thought we had been scammed. I have no idea how I found the website; it was through a link on trip advisor I think or even a popup.. A one night stay was coming out at 23€ so I put in three nights, Wed to Friday and the price was €24. We booked it and I used my credit card. However, when the holiday details came through by email, it was through a Turkish Travel Agent.

I was a bit suspicious and phoned the hotel. They had no details of my booking but had dealt with that particular booking agent before. They said come along and if it is a scam you can stay for one night at €23. We stayed the three nights we had booked for and were charged €24. Needless to say, I have never seen this hotel advertised again for such a cheap price.

The hotel is right on the beach. We had a sea view, our room overlooking the garden. pool and sea. It is on a lovely beach, with a Greek Church at one end. We ate everynight at the hotel and the food was very good, especially the Wednesday Greek buffet. Reviews on Trip Advisor are all very good. In fact, one is written by Gabriel K, Gabriel from Kouklia.

They are now closed for the winter and websites I tried are showing no availability for dates in 2018.

Their interactive map is brilliant showing airfares from your destination to other airports. Stunned at the one way prices to LGW next week of €220 I saw a €45 fare to Milan, checked the onward route Milan to Gatwick found one for €25 leaving 2 hours after I arrived in Milan. Click on the flights you want and you go straight to the airline's site. Google are adding services to the site and it keeps getting better especially if you are flexible with dates. As you browse flight options in a separate box you can see the best priced hotels by star category as well.

yes, you have to log out & then back in via google

I find Atlas Travel in Coral Bay very helpful with flights to and from the UK.
