I wonder if it was only me hearing the strange sound last evening ca 7-8 pm. It was like a thunder or a huge aeroplane (B380) landing. I could remember hearing a similar sound the first earthquake I experienced in 1996, 9./10.Oct., (6.8 Richter).
In the press is mentioned that people could feel the quake also in Israel and Turkey.

We felt nothing in Polemi.

I have an app, My Earthquake Alert, and it is not showing any earthquakes in Cyprus. Mind you it is quite scary seeing the earth moving activity going on all around us constantly!

The papers are reporting a large earthquake in Iran at 8.18pm so maybe you felt some tremors from there, Pat

I felt no moving, but the sound. When I noticed the noise I checked my hanging ceiling lamps if they move, but they didn't and looked outside towards the airport, but there was no plane.

Wasn't it the quake centered on the Iran/Iraq border, 7.8 on the richter scale. mentioned in an earlier thread?

We heard it around the time mentioned, thought it may be thunder or a loud plane, also noticed one of our wall pictures had moved.

There was one off Larnaca on 11 Nov measuring 2.1
