The Greeks have a saying:
"In peacetime sons bury their fathers. in wartime fathers bury their sons"
On this remembrance day we shall remember them.

We went to the British Forces Remembrance Service at Episcopi this morning. Lovely setting at Happy Valley. Army Band and the Military Wives Choir. A very moving service with many members of the British Forces present. Interesting to see that even the most junior ranks have a number of active service medals displayed on their uniforms. The Padres address made it clear what these brave men and women and their families are going through.
First time I have been to this service having been to both the harbour and the Peyia ones previously.
