Went to the Mall this morning but all entrances were blockaded by Anthinodorou cement lorries & there must have been dozens of them! Has the Mall owners not paid for the cement used to build the place?

What facts do you want? obviously for them to take such drastic action, bad payments could be life or death for a company.

I think Apusapus comments were a little joking.

I feel more sorry for a company that hasnt been paid, do you think its right that someone should be making money on the backs of others?

You are jumping to huge conclusions. The only fact known is that cement trucks are blockading the Mall.

Perhaps if somebody is going to the Mall, they could actually ask one of the drivers. I am sure there is a good reason for such behaviour, it would be interesting to know what it is.

The Paphos Press states that,......
Despite the protests at the Mall, all shops are open.

They may be open but it would be better if you could drive into and out of the car park

The story is here & it's about non-payment for concrete delivered during construction of the Mall

Certainly a great way to bring attention to a bad debtor.... may make others think twice if it can be done with such a public display as a blockade

I liked the comment from the Cement company owner "The Cypriot courts, Athinodorou added, will make a ruling on the dispute but it would take several years, making it like “transfusing blood to a patient after death”.
I'm sure many will agree; the court process in Cyprus is shamefully long winded.

I would go further. The court process in Cyprus is not fit for purpose.
