Need it to run a submersible pump 230 volt 50 hertz

I have an old generator, think that it is 5kw. It hasn't been used for ages, but if you are good at renovating old machines you might be interested.

Diesel generators are usually quite large and (along with a large diesel tank supply) would be used to keep somewhere like Paps going overnight, in the event of a local area power cut. Until EAC fix the problem...

For a small submersible pump power supply locally, your regular Honda petrol powered genny will do the job, in whatever power rating you need. AL

so the size of the generator you need, they will tell you.
