What does the "Cap" stand for?

Does it mean anything?

A bit of a cheat actually me thinks as it isn't on a Cape!

Cape Drepano, in fact. Geographically, the Cap St George resort / development is situated on the coastline of that Cape

Well sort of....... as Flossie says a bit of artistic license. It's also perhaps a tad confusing to tourists a sthere are other St Georges, the hotel for instance which is further down the coast.

I doubt tourists will be confused. Not with all the signposts.
