The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal for Cyprus' participation in the permanent structured cooperation (PESCO) mechanism, an EU tool aiming to increase defence cooperation among member states....

One of the reasons many people in the UK cited for supporting Brexit. For some reason, we balked at common defence sharing....

but perhaps he should have stated his concern more forcefully when he was wearing the uniform.
Had he done that? Im guessing he wouldnt of got his Lordship, and all the shekels that go with it?

Nato appears toothless.... it gets into conflicts far too late, isn't involved in cyber or other terrorist crimes, that I know of and has been corrupt in areas like the Balkans previously..... so I'm afraid you're comments on a European force are ten-fold on Nato. The United Nations peacekeeping are even worse...
