I see that he was sent straight to Jail. But I cannot see what sentence he has received. And what is a 'Mitigation Hearing' ??

Does SB not have to admit to some of his mis-demenours?

God alone knows what will get dreamed up for "mitigating circumstances". Hopefully he will get his just deserts in prison.

Another one with a connection with the BBC.
He will only do a couple of years locked up here before being deported back to the UK if he survives !! ( hopefully not).
And probably do even less time in a UK nick, put on a register & then forgotten about until next time.
Don't you just love todays justice system??

Does he still own Sunshine Radio? If so then perhaps people might want to review their listening preferences.

No, josef k, I will not let the action of one person influence my lifestyle choices.

I've deleted the last posts because they could potentially get the poster in trouble and because I don't want witch hunts here.

With regards to Sunshine Radio and the Hospital, ordinary people doing ordinary jobs work for these companies, and they no doubt have mortgages to pay and mouths to feed. They should not be punished because of the actions of a horrible nonce who may have shares in the company.

Nonces are the lowest of the low in any prison, im sure the inmates will give him the welcome he deserves.

I would go to the Police and make sure they knew of any convicted Pedo living in my area.

In the UK you don't need to do this as there is a register with which they are required to comply. Not here. Given that he was allowed back into Cyprus after being deported to the UK one might think the police alreadyknow where he is. I wonder.

Instead of posting on forums, go to the Police and report your concerns to them....Why do you go on about what happens in England...your in Cyprus.

Nobody is defending paedophiles. I just don't want you or anybody else posting contentious stuff on here using an anonymous account about other people. There are far more appropriate actions for you to take. There is no point just wondering if the police know. Just wondering and posting unverified stuff on forums doesn't accomplish anything.

In the case of Sandy Beech I believe that the mitigation hearing was completed today,Mr Beech has been returned to Nicosia prison and sentencing will now take place on 23 November.

Thanks for the update Poppy. Where ever the information came from, did it mention what the 'mitigating circumstances' were ?
