If you have Google Chrome (if not download it) put 'beebs' on it as an Add On

We have tried it today and it works well..

Hi Lucy... If you go here whilst in Google Chrome....
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ajdi?hl=en
I think you will find an oblong button on the right saying something like 'Add To Chrome'
If you press this is should add Beebs to Chrome for you.
Then next time you want to watch iPlayer (in Chrome) You can either press the Beebs button on the top right.. Or put BBC iPlayer into the search bar..
Do let us know if it works for you .

We have just the one Mag Box Jim... My wife likes to catch up on the late night TV programs whilst she is in bed between 6am and 8am in the morning.
By the way,you don't 'download' the iPlayers. They are there in Chrome..

I would guess you have another app blocking it. I just installed it on another PC and it was fine.

Using my three PC's I cannot now get BBC Iplayer on Chrome mine is blocked as posted, never had any problems with all main UKTV except the BBC. it is no problem for me as I have a couple of Mags and different providers, it was good while it lasted, 24 hours.
OK found the problem, it does not accept my login the second time around, maybe it sees I live on the island my email says this also. So maybe use
a different email is the way forward for me.
BBC Iplayer will not work without logging for me. See this print screen it says it for me..see top of the gif!

One more thing
When we were here in Tala last month, I used my Epic Privacy Browser to watch UK TV
Now, it tells me that it cant connect to proxy server
Does anyone else use this method?

Yes a bit obvious that Trev, but unfortunately that doesn't work, a dead link on this PC, it did work for a short period as I said, the screen shot was to show you that it will not go, that message does not alter, no matter as long as it works for those that need it..cheers

Great news for you then Trev, but the daughters has also gone...as mine has of course. Not bothered for myself but she is disappointed. my guess is it is the IP address, once the Beeb see you are abroad then they block it. I use Cyta as my IP maybe a third party supplier is the answer?

Hi Trevor,
With reference to your post on 19th Oct. I am afraid to report that I have been unsuccessful. Not sure what I am doing incorrectly. I click on "Added to Desktop" & type in BBC iPlayer into search bar & when I click on a program I receive the message that I can only watch the program in the UK. Hey ho!

Having reloaded this Add-on it also comes with this information, not 100% sure why but load this with this caution.
hrome Web Store HelpCHROME WEB STORE
Extensions that change your settings
This article applies to Chrome for Windows and Mac only.
With your permission, some extensions that you install from the Chrome Web Store can make changes to your Chrome settings to enhance your browsing experience and make using the extension easier. These extensions can change settings such as your homepage, new tab page, search engine, or start page.
Tip: Before you install an extension, check which Chrome settings the extension changes.
Change your settings back to normal
If you don't want your settings changed by an extension you have to uninstall or disable the extension. You can't use the extension without letting it change your settings.
When you remove the extension your settings will go back to the state they were before you installed that extension.
Open Google Chrome.
On the browser toolbar, click More More .
Click More Tools and then Extensions.
Next to the extension you want to remove, click Remove Remove an extension from Chrome.
In the box that appears, click Remove.
See the settings that an extension changed
You can see the settings that have been changed by an extension by going to your Chrome Settings. In the Chrome Settings menu you'll see a box around each setting that has been changed and the name of the extension that is controlling that setting.
Open Google Chrome.
On the browser toolbar, click More More .
Click Settings.
Look for a rectangular box that says "An extension, [extension name], is controlling this setting."

For Linux users, this seems to work OK with Chromium (Linux version of Chrome).
