Anyone recommend a good Suzuki mechanic please?

Sorry- I seem to be plaguing the Board at the moment.

Recently bought a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara, via an advert on this Board, and have discovered that there is a noticeable vibration from the auto box / wheels when decelerating from 4th to 3rd.

Like passing over rumble strips but louder

First pass is: Driveshaft joints, CV joints: front Diff. After that I'm lost.

I'd like to know of a good mechanic with Suzuki experience who might have come across this before

Regards
Ian

Thinking outside of the box here, Ian. But try emailing George Nestoros at Easy Rent a Car Ltd:

[redacted]

George has a few Grand Vitaras in his hire fleet, and will certainly share the contact details of his Paphos mechanic who looks after them with you. Just mention that Alan sent you.

His man will be expert, quick, and reasonably priced. Particularly if he knows that George recommended him to you! My guess, for what it's worth, is that a gaiter has failed somewhere in the drive train, so the grease has been lost in that coupling.

Cheers- AL :)

Great idea, Al

I've known George and Kula for about 10 years. A good bit of lateral thinking.

I'll tell George that you recommended I speak with him.

Many thanks, Al

Ian

I removed the email address to prevent George getting bombarded with spam.

We had a Suzuki Grand Vitara for years, would recommend the authorised Agent on the Geriskipou trading estate. Why mess about, they have the complete works to look after Suzukis.

Good luck.

Alan
