It does not say where on the island the Taxi Drivers were fined. But it is a good start..

It rather shows the attitude of the taxi drivers when 13 of them do not appear in front of the authorities when required and drivers who did not behave properly to customers and inspectors were fined between €50 and €400.
Good to see the authorities taking some action at long last.

They should issue punitive damages to deter the drivers & others from repeating the offences but I doubt they ever will!

Not sure of the location that the photo in the newspaper's report was taken. But it didn't look like Paphos,I thought.
I suspect that we have some of the worst offenders here in the Paphos area. It would be good to see the Paphos police stand up to them when necessary. Outside the airport can be one of the worst examples of their bad behaviour. Though I admit that the last time I used the airport,about a month ago, the taxi drivers seemed not to be camped right accross the drop off area!
