I have to send some € from my B of C account to a Euro account in Romania

Presumably if I just put in the IBAN number, that will be sufficient ... or will it?

Good idea to include the Romanian bank account holder's name (exactly as it appears on their a/c details) as well.

And TRIPLE check the IBAN and BIC codes are correct before hitting [SUBMIT] !!!

Internet banking? Digipass? or by visit to bank counter? Amount normally gets determined if it meets money laundering agreements.

Recently had problems myself in transferring monies out of country.

Yes, on-line, but I note that they are changing the log in settings tomorrow ... what could possibly go wrong?

Al, the payment won't leave your account unless and until the IBAN is correct.
Not altogether convinced about that, Lloyd... Study the IBAN carefully, and you'll notice that part of the code string contains the recipient's local account number.

If one digit of that is wrong, and you hit the submit button, then there is a good chance that your tranferred funds will end up in someone else's account... The bank denies all responsibility and your'e left with a HUGE fight on your hands to get your money back!

We see countless sad cases of individuals trapped in this nightmare scenario on TV consumer programs, sometimes losing thousands of pounds...

Cheers- AL
