Me too, aphrodites rock is an essential stop on the way to the villa. They do tasters of all the beers, great fun. Also either have lunch or a Pizza whilst you are there, we (one of my daughters and I) had one of those quattro ones whilst quaffing the different beers, absolutely delicious, both the beer and Pizza.

There was a great youtube video here on PL a while back shot by a bunch of expats riding Harley Davidsons, who were visiting the Aphrodites Rock Brewery near Tsada, for lunch.
Cannot find the link now, but I'd love to view it again, please?
Thanks- AL

Many thanks, MM- you're a diamond!
OMG! A sneak preview, and I realized my last viewing was on old XP malware infected machine. I've since updated that to a more recent HP SFF system unit on Win7 and Win10. It has a dual HDMI graphics card pumping HD to my 24" Alba tv/monitor.
I can now view your links full screen and in full HD. Awesome, thanks!
Cheers- AL

My old friend Cliffy, a regular poster on the old site, you can get all of Cliff's blog videos on Utube, easy to find AL.
We do live very close to this Brewery but as yet never been, friends say it is very good, the beer is probably not as you would expect AL, I learned to live without my favorite tipple and that would be Marsden's Pedigree.
As a member has already said, sell up move on over here, sounds as if you have a real liking for this area, just do it!

Try the Old Fishing Shack in Paphos opposite Sixties Bar. Athos is very knowledgable and has a great selection of real ales and ciders. He also has a retail outlet in Geroskipou.

The Pizza oven does not fire up until 3pm, but they have an extensive menu of "pub grub", all delivered in a very pleasant setting.
Except on a Sunday, from my experience. We took some friends there for, hopefully, a snack earlier in the year, after visiting one the Sunday Farmer's Markets. The choice was a full Sunday roast - no thanks - or a packet of crisps! Perhaps it was because it was the time of the year. Best to check first, though.

Why not try the Beer Seller shop in Geroskipou. Selling bottles of real ale and cider is what they do. Youngs, Theakstons, etc etc.

Yes- very nice bar, and if I recall correctly, his lovely wife is English. Athos is closely related to Despo and Phideas, who own the Theseas Apartments, eastern end of Bar St adjacent to Anemi (but have long since retired, and now rent it to George and partner, who gave it a long overdue face lift).
Used to go round the Old Fishing Shack to meet the gang and watch the England footy games on their big screen. Is she Julie, I wonder?

Although I've found references to the shop on Google, none give any indication of where it is.
Help, please!

Lets assume you are at Debenhams on the Geroskipiou/Paphos border. From the roundabout proceed towards Geroskipou village. At the first lights turn right. It is down that road on the right.

Just finshed watching all five episodes of Cliff's epic ride (and six others) to Aphrodite Rock Brewery. Sadly, despite intro photos of them all enjoying their lunch there, no actual footage was shown of this stage. Are we missing a video clip, I wonder?
B7 from Polis back to Paphos is a white knuckle ride, is it not? (As evidenced in part 4 of Cliff's video). WHAT IF? A vehicle from the opposite direction makes a suicidal overtaking manouvre around a blind bend, and appears on YOUR side of the road as you approach? Quite common on that stretch of road, which I've ridden and driven countless times...
Where are you supposed to go in this deadly situation? Cheers- AL

We drive it every day. The secret is to slow down before you go round a corner.
