Just days after I put this post on PL

When doing field work in Oman in the 90ies with some students we became experts in predicting where to find scorpions - they prefer finely graveled plains with little vegetation but some small boulders to hide under in the day. Some of the guys were collecting them and arranged a large cage for them where we witnessed some good fights (don't ask... - geologists get bored w/o beer and girls - lol).
After the three months field work period was over one of the guys actually took three of them home to Switzerland - on board in his hand luggage

We were not too impressed - and the scorpions sadly did not survive more than a few months back in the much colder environment (despite being kept in the boiler room apparently).

PS - it was not Easy Jet and the scorpions were not black
