Surely any decent alarm system would warn you if it was disabled!?

Of course the alarm system warned the alarm company, the owner and the police from the moment the thieves were inside. That was only a few minutes as you can see.

So how come the thieving toe rags managed to remain inside the shop for 1½ hours? Okay, they probably had a lookout cum getaway driver outside, but why such a slow reaction from people remotely monitoring the alarm system?

OIC- the 1½ hours bit was a mistranslation...

AL :?

They did not Al. The door on the outside had bars, they removed those and that took them 1 1/2 hours BEFORE they could get in. That door by the way is as the BACK of the shop. So, they were NOT inside yet.

The plot thickens... No CCTV on the rear security door? Or they blanked this out? Removing security bars from an external door must have created a hell of a noise, I would have thought, unless it was all assembled with standard or security screws, rather than all arc welded together...

Getting weirder and stranger...

Security screws: Now that's a laugh! In Maplins, anybody can buy a small pack of 6mm hex bits that covers all known security screw types and sizes, for a mere £8

Cheers- AL :?

I'm sure the owners are just as puzzled as you are Al.

Am champing at the bit here, with my conspiracy theory for this case...

Well keep it to yourself! This is somebody's business. I'm sure the last thing they want is armchair detectives throwing theories about.

Those of you who cannot read Greek, including myself, should load 'Google Translate' then you can 'cut and paste' and get the translation. It will only do a reasonable amount at a time but I find it useful - all the languages you are likely to want, and it's free

Alternatively, just right click the page and select "Translate to English". That's what I do with Chrome, anyway.

I'm also a customer there too and feel very sorry for them. It seems strange that they have been targetted a 2nd time, after increasing their security.
Wonder if PC Plod in the shape of the local fuzz are taking an interest in the case? Also what happens to the computers afterwards?
