Nice one folks! Isn't Friday evening a great day of the week, eh?
I had the other half of a Morrisons 12" sausage roll that I started last night. ÂŁ1 on special offer, so bought 4 for the freezer. Well packed 26% pork content sausage meat (unusually high for such rolls) and lovely puff pastry!
Ashamed to say that I ate for 50p last night, and again this evening, LOL!
Cheers- AL

Curry night and a gin - that's our Friday. Even better is that hubby makes the curry

I get the choice of which gin we will have. Last night was Boodles' turn.

Oh well, we are having a barbecue here in sunny Inverness for my hubby's birthday. (Saturday).
Pork souvla will be cooked over charcoal on his new Cypriot Barbecue (Foukou).

I had it shipped over from Cyprus for his birthday and he is chuffed to bits.

I take it you eat it there in their new(ish) eat-in area rather than taking it back to Polemi
To Austin and Memory Man.. No we get a take away, but usually enough for 2 days

This week Lidl have had an offer of âŹ11.99 for a litre of Gordon's. Haven't seen decent gin that cheap for years.

I do, Dom! Always have a clementine or mandarin first thing in the morning. My giant sausage roll from Morrisons was enhanced with a liberal drizzle of authentic Hot Chillie Sauce before popping it into the oven to heat up.
This sauce is superb, at ÂŁ1 for a 1l bottle from Tesco when on offer. It's a brownish colour, rather than bright red (indicating to me no harmful colour additives). I sprinkle it on all kinds of dishes, as I really believe there are health benefits from chillie peppers, as with garlic, spinach and so on)...
Cheers- AL

That Gin would cost at least ÂŁ16 per litre in Tesco, Asda, or Morrisons when on special Bank Holiday weekend offers here in ROB, David...

We are currently on holiday in our apartment in Paphos, a couple of days away from the maddening crowds in Polis

Trying a few restaurants, old and new....Last Night...pizza, beer (Peroni of course) and espresso in La Sardinia...definitely the best Pizza in Paphos, if not Cyprus....no doubt, no arguments....they serve small and medium....please do not order a medium for one! It is huge! With a base to die for.
More info in Restaurant Recommendations please, Hudswell? Sounds nice, so some idea of actual location in Paphos, typical prices, ambience, atmosphere, service etc etc might be appreciated by Paphos residents who haven't yet tried it, but lurve Pizza!
Cheers- AL
