Weather is now semi-active

There is now weather information on the main Paphos Life site.

I am still working on getting it autoupdated. I won't bore you with the details though.

To see weather information, look to the bottom of the page. There is now weather displayed for Paphos. You can toggle between C and F there as well.

In the links section to the right (or below) the weather, there are now two new links as well:

Weather Forecast
Weather Matrix

Weather Forecast presents a 36 hour forecast. You can select any of nine stations to query in the dropdown.

Weather matrix displays information from all stations at once, hour by hour. It is designed to allow you to hunt down a dry destination more easily. Or a wet destination, if that is your thing.

As they stand, they are still a bit rough and ready, but they can be improved in due course. My first job though, is to get the autoupdate working properly.

Any feedback please post below.

Oh and if the weather in the footer looks weird, try refreshing the screen. It should look better then.

Weather info comes from Weather Underground. Theoretically, I could use any Weather Provider that has an API. Unfortunately from what I could see, AccuWeather doesn't. I will cite the source though, and I plan to add links to Weather Underground, Accuweather, and whatever sources are available. My first task though, was to get it actually working. :)

it would be great if you could add the Cyprus Satellite image
which refreshes every hour. For me the most accurate forecast in the
last 10 years as one can enlarge to only Paphos area and see all
formations of clouds moving....
