Names in italics are hidden. I can see your name, but it is in italics, so nobody else will be able to see it. Houdinibun, for instance, is sat next to me, and she can't see your name. I just checked.

There is no reason why your PMs shouldn't be working though, unless your outbox is full or something?

Just click on my name, to pull up my profile, then select Send PM.
