Well I thought my recent thread about the invention of the digital camera was interesting, but I was alone in that thought. I share your pain.

I agree fully. I don't watch much UK TV due to the dross, but have seen some great things on Sky Arts. It's a shame so many people seem to stick with soaps and "reality" programmes, and don't venture further. Thanks Austin7 for raising awareness.

Well, if I can work out all the confusion (for me) of which TV supplier/broadband supplier to go for, I will no doubt join you all in your perusal of the black box.....

Each to their own . Sky arts ... No appeal to me ....my choices .

The Son , a sort of Dallas the early years . New series next year

The Night Of , very tense murder mystery , love the guy in sandals .

http://youtu.be/556N5vojtp0

The Good Fight , legal series . New series coming next year .

Another series I have only just found is Banshee it ran 4 seasons from 2013 to 2016 .....how did I miss it . ...it is the best program I have ever seen .

And as has been said the silly season of nowt on the box . Saturday only watched Nick Knowls , Sunday Poldark and The maidens Tale .

And I guess you don't like England Lost or Gotta Get a Grip from Mick Jagger either :o

The beauty of having 'Catch up' and two recording devices is that you can use them when there are programmes on that you find boring. The most interesting programmes for me are those that appear on channel 9.

I usually find something of interest on 'Discovery', but I'm not sure if you receive this in Cyprus.
