Any suggestions for house / contents insurance, have used Intersure for many years but feel they are getting a little pricey so looking around at alternatives.

The UK insurers "Insure My Villa" available through Top Quotes. Quite unbeatable on price.

We have several policies with TopQuotes but for property have found Status Insurance better value recently.

Well perhaps my current deal is not as bad as i think, just done an online quote with Insure my Vila and turns out £300 GBP more expensive for the same cover.

If you do an online quote with Insure My Villa direct it will be a lot more than via Top Quotes.
No idea why other than maybe TQ have some sort of block discount due to being able to compare several quotes at the same time.
I'll look at Status tho when renewal time comes around.

I have just had my renewal notice from Intasure and it has gone up a little to just over £400.
I did check for better quotes a couple of years ago but decided to stay with intasure

Having been through a house claim with Insure My Villa purchased through Topquotes I can confirm that I am now insured with Abbeygate.

My contents insurance has been with Atlantic for the last 17 years and I find their rates reasonable and they have paid out with no quibbling on two claims during that period. Might be worth contacting Lia
[email protected] for a quote.

We went with Pacific for our insurance and it was a god quote - but no experience of claims yet.
