Euronews

We used to be able to receive Euronews on the local terrestrial TV channels in several languages, including Greek and English.
All you had to do was set your TV to the language you wanted.
Then a few months ago it was all in Greek.
Then they reverted.
Then all Greek.
Which is where we are now. Only available in Greek.
Anyone know why PIK have done this?
Geoff.

We phoned CYTA and was told it is only available in Greek now.Too expensive they said. Went the same way as Brit entertainment. Just arbitarilarly took it off. That was also too expensive. :|

Thanks for that.
We will have to revert to the internet to obtain it.

In UK, Geoff, we still get it FTA on 28.2E Sat in about 7 languages. Never watch it, personally, me myself. Too flipping EU orientated for my liking. And their weather forecasts are a laugh and a half!

Cheers- AL :)

It's a shame as it was watched quite widely. There are still a number of people believe it or not who don't have Mag boxes and such. Euronews was the only thing still available in the English language on a standard Cypriot TV. I have a small TV in the kitchen and used to switch it on every single morning to watch the news. I can't access the Mag box from there or be bothered to watch it on a tiny device so it is missed.
