If the forum goes funny, bear with me. I am just making a small update. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

The update was a success. Can anybody spot what has changed? And it is nothing to do with the LIKE option.

Different banner at the top whenever you open a post? But I am not sure..

Cannot see any difference at the moment.

It is banner related. But the top one always did rotate. When it was first introduced though, most of the ads were for the same thing. Since the house has been sold I was asked by the advertiser to remove it, and I replaced it with those you see now.

No, up until now, the banner at the top of the page was the same as the one at the bottom. Now they are different. This will give every advert double the exposure without smothering you the forum users, with multiple ads visible at the same time.

Ok, so it wasn't massively interesting, but it went ahead without a hitch so I am happy.

I do not see a banner at the bottom. Never saw one, maybe because of the page lay-out I choose....

BUT.... I don't have, and never have had, a banner at the bottom of the page ??

No email notifications of posts on threads, it did stop for a day or two, then started again, but yesterday and today, none.

Yes, if you are using the older Subsilver 2 layout, there is no bottom banner. I will update that at some point, but very few people use the old layout any more, so it isn't my top priority.

Could you have a look in your spam folder and see if they are there?

Member details under posts are showing "profile" & "pm" only.

No email contact for any member.

Surely individual members here on PL choose these sort of preferences in their own settings?

I don't recall seeing anything other than Profile and PM buttons below each members' individual postings?

I use subsilver2 style.

How could I contact another member via email ( if I wanted to ),
as no email addresses are shown.

I thought we did, but I must be wrong.

So, the only way to contact a member is via pm.

No they're not in spam. For anyone wondering what I mean, go to your profile page, 1. choose control panel, 2. board preferences, 3. edit notification options.
