I think it's not so much the ambient temperature that bothers us homo sapiens, it's the flipping HUMIDITY levels that bother us the most! So read up on some of Max's hints 'n tips here on PL regarding how to address this problem, both indoors AND outside on your patio, for you and your pets to enjoy!
Meanwhile, back in UK with our recent heat wave and Cyprus-like day and night temperatures, lot's of people (including me) were wondering why their MILK was going off, way before the sell by date...
The answer soon became obvious! Every fridge has a thernostat dial, 0 > 5 - but it's unclear how this works, direction-wise... What we really need is a top-quality industry standard Fridge (or Freezer) Thermometer, like this one I just bought from fleabay for a mere couple of quid:

Hope the link works! After a couple of hours hung on the recommended middle shelf, to the back, BINGO! I was seeing 5ºC - spot on for a fridge! This is with the stat at position 1. If temps climb again, and I see the fridge thermometer going above 5ºC - simply tweak the stat up to 2 then 3, and moniter the situation over the next couple of hours...
This quality gadget cost me £2-15 with free P&P, would you believe?
Cheers- AL
