Dream holiday

My dream holiday would be one week, LTN PFO LTN, out and back on Wedsesday, EasyJet

I would have a car awaiting at PFO thanks to George & Kula @ http://www.easyrentacarltd.com/

Perhaps stay at Jacs in Trimi, if she will have me, paying my way, smoking outside of course..

Then meet up with Lloyd, Dom, Trev, Max et ál for a nice lunch somewhere?

Thursday could be Riccos Beach, or maybe Yialos Taverna (Round House) Sea Caves?
Friday - well, we have to try the Fish 'n Chips in Mandria!!!
Saturday would definately be a Fish Meze @ Filiatos Timi with Max!
Sunday could be a slap up meal @ Pericles Taverna, Nata
Monday might be the Village Tavern in Latchi (Bamboz)
Tuesday - open to suggestions here...Perhaps an evening meal at the Mayfair? I've eaten there loads of times in the past, and 100% imho...

Just an idea at this stage, but I'd love it to turn into reality...

Cheers- AL :)

And what do you intend doing when you are not eating? :)

What would be your non-edible must dos in Cyprus?

Surprised you picked Wednesday for traveling, Paphos airport is an absolute nightmare.

You're dead right there, Miyagi !!! I've travelled to PFO 33 times since 1988, usually on a Wednesday...

A Bing search just threw up some rather interesting results for Thursday flights on easyJet from LTN to PFO and back, though, with great flight times both ways! For example:

LTN > PFO 07 Sep 2017: Dep 07:10 / Arr 13:45
PFO > LTN 14 Sep 2017: Dep 14:30 / Arr 17:25
£184

Reasonable price, I reckon. Any opinions? And that arrival time back at LTN means I can catch a local bus from outside the terminal (with my OAP Bus Pass) and get dropped off within an easy ½ mile level walk back to our house. Sod's Law will no doubt apply on that final 15 minute leg, where it will be absolutely pissing down with rain! But after a week in sunny Cyprus, I think I'd welcome that, LOL!

Yia Mas! AL :)

Good question, Dominic... I only eat once a day, to be honest...

a blowout buffet breakfast in a hotel, maybe, or
a lunch with friends, as suggested above, or
perhaps an evening meal? My tummy only wants one, not two or more!

So my mornings would consist of a leisurely local walk, with Ventolin inhaler in one pocket of my shorts, and a few roll-ups 'n lighter in the other pocket. Then a quick swim before lunch, yum yum!

After lunch, maybe another swim. Siesta. Then hit the nearest bar for a large cold bottle of Carlsberg or three... Then bed and sleep.

But one morning, I'd really love to accompany you (with hopefully Max and Jacs) on a new PL blog expedition!!!

Cheers- AL 8-)

Awaiting a reply or PM from smudger (Jacs) actually, before committing to bookings...

But if any other members have a spare bedroom for 7 nights (on a room only basis) say for £100 cash, 7th-14th Sept 2017, then please PM me, and help my dream come true!

Cheers- AL :)

I'm not sure many dream holidays start with an EasyJet flight from Luton airport. :o

Lifesabeach wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:43 pm For 15 euros a night, I honestly think you'll find it difficult to persuade people, Al. I don't think you can put that price on hospitality, laundry and aircon.

I may be wrong and hope you find somewhere.
Not asking for hospitality, nor aircon, Lifesabeach. Fair enough, the bedsheets 'n pillowcase will need washing and drying after I booger off. But hang on a mo... I could bring my own, then leave them behind as a donation, perhaps?

Last visit to Paphos was 2 weeks in the Paphiessa Hotel on HB for first week, then BB for second week. Loved it to bits! Packed cabin luggage only. Took 14 pairs of socks and 14 pants. Each day, after a shower, the old socks 'n pants went into the bathroom rubbish bin.

No dirty smelly washing to bring back! Just went to Tesco next day and bought a new load of socks and pants, LOL!

Cheers- AL :)

Yes that's the best way to go. Or book a cheap package deal holiday which includes both flight and accom. Might be easier!
