I am missing something! Just had my electric bill and the VAT is 9%.

The article states its staying the same at 5%.

Out of curiosity why didn't you call this thread something like "Question about VAT on my Electrical bill"?

"Cost of living help" sounds like you are asking for money!

Never gave it much thought. Maybe should have put 'article'.

Hopefully if I reply to you it will interest other people to look at the thread.

The 9% rate on electric bills is currently a reduced rate that was due to expire.

But now this temporary measure will continue for another year and the rate will reduce to 5%
