Paphos Life

The very unpopular Prime Minister has been forced to reshuffle his Cabinet, saying he wants delivery. Will he get it by shuffling the same old pack of cards?

He has just lost:

A Housing Secretary who was also Deputy Prime Minister, whose signal failure to boost house building went unchallenged. Who was also the Housing Secretary and got caught blatantly avoiding paying tax on a rather dodgy house deal.
A Home Secretary who watched as illegal boat migrant numbers soared.
A Foreign Secretary who needlessly gave away Chagos and sacks of cash with it.
A Business Secretary who presided over a devastating rate of industrial closures who was found to have lied on his CV.
A Work and Pensions Secretary who failed to pass her Welfare Bill and watched as benefit recipients and unemployment soared.

Did the Prime Minister, as every CEO should do, review their lack of progress? What actions did he take to improve their performance and honour his so-called Manifesto commitments to the people who voted him in? What has he told their replacements to do differently? Why are the new people the same people who just failed in their old jobs? God help us.

God help us indeed.

The march in London on 13th, against illegal immigration, should be wake up call for Starmer, but I don't think that he has the brain capacity, to accept it.

Ah yes, the 'so called' manifesto, he has lied over and over, through his teeth. Britain has to remove him from power, before it's too late, if it isn't already. As for honour, I doubt that he even knows the meaning of the word.

As for reshuffle, it's like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

There is nowhere on this forum, that states 'posts must refer to Paphos alone', as far as I'm aware.

If Dominic does not wish us to post items referring to elsewhere, I'm sure that he will advise us accordingly. Last time I looked, you were not forum moderator.

Thing is, whoever is next will have to be given time - ie the full term - in order that their plans and ideas can be seen to work, or not. But this also applies to the Labour government. It is normal for governments to put their least popular policies at the start of their tenure, giving them room, and money, to appear more popular as the next election begins to loom. So unless Labour collapses from within, they can't very well be forced out before their time, as the exact same thing will happen to whoever is next in power.

One of Thatcher's strong points was that if she had an idea she saw it through, for better or for worse. We need more of that.
