Yes I watched this online last night, they now go into tomorrow’s draw for the group stages, could be some big names coming to Paphos in the coming months.

We were at the match, fantastic outcome. The €18 is the guaranteed minimum if they were to play and lose every one of the 8 league games, there additional performance payments:
Win/Draw Bonus: Clubs in group phase can accumulate €2.1 million per win and €750,000 per draw.
League Phase Ranking Bonus: League Phase €183.1 million is divided into 666 shares. Highest rank team in league phase will get 36 shares (€9.9 million). 2nd placed team will get 35 shares (€9.62m) and so on.
Placement Bonus: Clubs finishing in 1-8 position get extra €2 each. Clubs finishing in 9-16 position get €1 million each.
Make it beyond that and:
Knockout Round Playoff (per club) €1 million
Round of 16 (per club) €11 million
Quarter-final (per club) €12.5 million
Semifinal (per club) €15 million
Finalists (per club) €18.5 million
Winners €6.5 million
Then there’s the TV share which is based on TV share on a UEFA 5 and 10 year coefficient rankings:
€853 million will be distributed among participating Champions League teams based on their TV market share and UEFA's last 10 and 5 year coefficient rankings. The teams from Europe's top 5 leagues get higher revenue from this pot compared to teams from lowed ranked leagues. For example for 2024/25 season Inter Milan earned €36 million from this pot compared to Sturm Graz who only cleared €3.16 million.
Then there’s extra ticket sales, possibilities of new sponsorships deals, increased sales of match and season tickets and merchandise sales. No doubt some extra costs in terms of player performance contract clauses.
This is massive for Pafos FC. Ole!

Yes, they will be coming. Unfortunately, they won't be coming to Paphos as the games will be played in Limassol.

Correct, apparently UEFA does not consider Paphos stadium adequate for European games.

It seats under 10,000 people so it is a valid point. To be honest, I was surprised it seated as much as it did.

UEFA ground regs for those who are desperately interested - criteria all the way from pitch watering, emergency access, CCTV, changing rooms, toilets / spectators ratio etc etc
