Extreme heat in Cyprus today
Lefkara village hit a record-breaking 46°C.
It is 37c in the true shade in Polemi

I measured 39c at my place above Paphos 440m sea level. I wonder what it will be tonight.
After tomorrow it will be much cooler with normal summer temperatures though....

10.15 am and it's 42 c in the shade in Choulou.

The pool water even feels cool with 32degrees. Love it.

The first drop in nighttime temperature already happened last night. I could open doors and windows just before sunrise as the temperature was back to only 25,5c instead of 33c the morning before. With a strong fan I could shift some of the hot indoor air outdoors, before closing everything again at 7AM...

We had the aircon on all night in the bedroom set at the usual 26c.
I have been working in the garden and it is hot out there but only 32c as I have my first rest from gardening
