Using solar energy during periods of curtailment

A question for the experts:
Even during a period of curtailment (when the EAC shuts down your solar harvesting for net metering), are you still able to use the energy your panels are producing during that time? In other words, is this a good time to use appliances, cook, iron, etc, because you can still use the energy your panels are providing at that moment? Or, when the EAC curtails you, is it shutting down your production ability entirely, and you are simply drawing energy from the grid?

I remember reading an article reporting that legislation is being discussed to allow for a device to be installed which will allow you to keep using the electricity you're producing during curtailment.

The EAC turns off your inverter. So when the inverter is turned off you are not producing any energy and you are drawing energy from the Grid.

it doesn't mean all your panels stop working entirely. It’s more like they’re allowed to produce only a certain amount, so you might still use some of that energy right away for things like cooking or ironing. However, most of your energy might be redirected to the grid. It really depends on your setup and local rules, so it might be a good idea to check in with your provider for the exact details.

It does mean all your solar panels stop working
The EAC turns off the inverter.
No inverter means no electricty being produced.
