Little animal story from Cyprus at Christmas... pics

The sunny weather still allows to have some hours on the sunbed at lunchtime, so I was lucky to watch Praying Mantis female and male moving into their winter quarter. As they are very slow moving it was enough time to bring the camera into action for some photos to share it with you for Christmas.
This is their quarter for the winter obviously as there is a lot of action with lizards, bees, beetles, worms, ants....

Female Mantis just arrived at the scene and having a good look at the beetle in front...

watched by a lizard some centimeters away

Obviously she carries a lot of eggs

After some minutes she reached the center of the rosemary bush

not far away from a male Mantis, scared to move too much

and finally the already made so called "Mantis egg" to protect plenty of eggs from the Winter colds

I wish everyone on here Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
