Paphos Life

The Sea Caves between Agios Georgios and Coral Bay used to be a beautiful, remote area. It has become increasingly developed over recent years, most notably by the growth of Cap St George. To some it is a marvelous resort, and it certainly looks lovely if you walk through the grounds. To others, though. It is a blot on the landscape.

Who is right? That depends on who you are, and what you value. On the one hand, I can see the point that the critics make. But on the other, there are countless areas in the Paphos District that are equally beautiful yet get visited by very few people indeed.

Anyway, this film is neutral, and just represents a view of what is actually there.

Your wording "blot" is exactly what it became. Hundreds and hundreds of similar looking "shoe boxes", cheap to produce, killed this landscape which was quite unique in the Paphos district.

I was tour guide for the German Television 1988 and all those attending could not believe their eyes how beautiful the area was.

They produced a 20 minute film and also articles in several magazines specially of this wonderful piece of land...
