A cold front will effect Cyprus from Sunday on and perhaps you check if your heating systems are functioning. Many Cypriots have a fire place for days like that but a modern air-con system does the job without dirt. Instead of 24c on Saturday the weather forecast says only 15-17c at Paphos coast at midday on Sunday and Monday.....

I checked mine a few weeks ago and i was not working, showing an error code on the little screen.
I got my friend to come and service the boiler and fix the error code. I have tried it out and it is working just fine now.
But to be honest, I am using the air conditioners on heating mode because there is only me in a big bungalow, and I mainly use the lounge, the Kitchen, or the bedroom. Putting the full heating on just for me is a little wasteful.
However I will of course have it on from time to time to keep the building well tired out

Air cons on heating are a great way to heat rooms, modern ones are very efficient.....
We have underfloor heating but not in use till it really gets cold...

Underfloor heating is great, but slow reacting. The forecast Monday night is only 5c or so for Paphos. If I had one installed, I would start it tomorrow, before the cold snap arrives...

we have underfloor heating and find it better if you leave it on
all the time on low dont forget its only low voltage and cheap to run

I guess, you´re talking about a electric underfloor heating. Is it as slow in reacting as a water-based system?

We built our bungalow from scratch around 2011. We had to make a choice of what sort of heating to have. I went for ordinary radiators with a gas boiler. Everything is still working just fine. I have needed no repairs just the boiler serviced regularly. You can feel the heat in the radiators within minutes of switching the system on...
I have never regretted that choice.

I remember underfloor heating in the 60s. Horrible, couldn't have carpets, and it made your feet ache.

Don't know if it's any different now, but the 60s underfloor heating died a quick death.

Still using my trusty gas heater which is keeping the open plan living area of the apartment lovely and warm and permeating into the other rooms.

Our underfloor heating is via a geothermal system, absolutely would recommend....
Takes around 12 hrs to be up and running, it's so lovely to have hot tiles on your feet!....

So, the cold snap is over which brought a tiny bit of snow to Troodos peak....I was hoping for much more snow though.

I'm not sure why you say the cold snap is over. The forecast I use shows early morning temperatures of 5 and 6 centigrade for the next few days. It is nice when the sun is out in the daytime though

Well, I regard the cold snap from Monday is gone as the night temperature yesterday was not lower than 10c at my place and I was up watching football until 1 AM. However the night before it was 3c at my place and at Troodos peak -5c.

Troodos was this morning 5c, so 10 degrees warmer and the little snow already nearly melted overnight.
