Many of you who were members of Cyprus Living, will remember a member called Gill Valaoritis, who owned the Curtain Workshop and was a very active contributor. Aristotelis was(or is) her husband. Last time I heard, she was back in the North East.

That's absolutely correct - Gill lives about 500 yards from me and on returning to the UK she took back on the exact same factory on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead that she had before she moved to Cyprus - She does go back to Cyprus now and then as her daughter is still living there.

Thanks Trans Am for that information. She was a very valuable contribitor to Cyprus Living. Used to love reading her posts, especially on a Sunday when it seemed all the female contributers had had a glass too many. She probably won't remember me, but mention me to her and wish her well.

If I remember correctly Gill's name on the group was 'Shar Pei' because she had a dog of that breed.
We too used her expertise for all our curtains when we moved into our new house, and had curtains all round.
Her husband came to put the rails up and hang the curtains
