Hope this is allowed on PL.

My Granddaughter is starting a job in Paphos soon. Being British, and only going to Cyprus to work, from the UK, I think she will need private medical insurance.

When we lived there, Atlantic were always the best we thought. We were insured with them for medical costs, house insurance and even pet insurance.
Are they still as good?

Any advice appreciated.

We have been with Atlantic for 40 years, claimed for a couple of car accidents and one large house flood, paid up with out quibble, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Will she not have to join Gesy as an employee ? At least my daughter had to, and I doubt that the fact that she is an EU citizen came into play. Might be wrong though.

I'm not sure if she will join Gesy or not as yet. The reason I ask is that obviously, we are no longer in the EU.

If she's unsure whether she qualifies for Gesy, I'd email them ([email protected]). They are pretty quick to respond.

I have said that she should ask the people who have engaged her, re. medical insurance. My query on PL, was a 'just in case' recommendation.
