The Berengaria Hotel in the Troodos Mountains has been abandoned for nearly 40 years. Now though, it is being reborn. I was lucky enough to be given a guided tour of the site by BBF, the company who is responsible for the renovation. There will be a full film of the tour along soon, but in this article I summarise what I found and provide links for people seeking further information.

They have taken on a huge task, but I'm sure it will be worth it. It's good to see a developer with a commitment to doing it right, rather than just chasing the money to the exclusion of everything else.

It fabulous that someone has the vision to renovate/restore/re-build such an historical hotel together with working ecologically with the beautiful environment
When it’s completed it will no doubt be a destination

Now you can see the whole tour! You will need about 50 minutes to watch it all, so make a coffee first.

Glad you enjoyed it. It was fascinating being shown around the project, and I hope to visit other sites that bbf are working on. I was impressed with the company and their work ethic.
