No wonder so many wheels. Many fisher boats still using them on their planks to avoid damage when there are windy conditions in the harbour.

The quality of the seabed at Paphos Harbour would make zero difference to tourists, who never see it anyway. The harbour and seafront itself is kept clean on a regular basis. The bins all along get emptied at least once a day, and possibly twice. It's one thing I have always been impressed about.

Perhaps you did not read the article i provided, saying that school children collected 130 kg of rubbish from land cleaning between Limanaki and Lighthouse area. Another article was in CYMail confirming similar area....so I wonder from where the rubbish came from.

CYMail: A total of 180 children took part in a clean up of the beach from the Limanaki to Ta Bania, AKTI research organisation’s Anna Tselepou said, collecting around 130kg of rubbish.

I imagine they cleared the area behind the Sea Front and Papantoniou's to get most of their rubbish.

I remember when the harbour was dredged when we lived there, we collected loads of large amphora pottery pieces from the spoil heaps.

Really interesting historical finds.
