Not sure when this was posted on Tala community news
It is with great sadness that I announce the UKCA will have to close its doors by Christmas.
We have been given notice by our landlords to leave as they are renting the land for a petrol station to be built on it. After 22 years of serving the community, not only with our social environment to enjoy and partake, but a welfare service also.
We have survived to stay open throughout many drawbacks over the years including Covid, where many businesses didn’t. To say we the members are devastated is an understatement.
However, we are not beaten yet. We will be looking for alternative premises that are affordable and smaller, so if anyone out there knows of a venue to rent, please make some enquires and let us know. Please contact through my deputy below.

I think it was originally. However, I believe an important archaeological site has been discovered there, which would halt everything, possibly for ever.

Just driven pass the plot of land where UKCA club was and there is heavy equipment and mounds of earth around. We hope we are wrong but it looks like the beginning of a building site to us.

If it's going to be a petrol station they have to dig big holes to put the fuel tanks in.

Anything would be an improvemnt from the UKCA club that in my opinion from the outside looked an unkept Eyesore.

They did that already quite some time ago.
